Tuğçe Erçetin got her BA degree from International Relations at Kadir Has University. she completed her first MA degree in the Department of Political Science at Essex University with the thesis, titled 'The Perceptions of Armenians in Turkey', then she got her second MA degree in the Department of International Relations at Istanbul Bilgi University, writing a thesis on the 'Analysis of Nationalist Poems Which Are Written by the Ordinary People and Published by Nationalist Journals During the Cold War' . She has completed her PhD degree in the Department of Political Science in Istanbul bilgi University with a thesis, titled: 'Understanding the "We-ness" in Populism: Leaders, Media and Citizens". She is part-time lecturer teaching courses on "the Migration in the 21st Century" and "Politics and Movie", working as a post-doc researcher in Istanbul bilgi University, Centre For Migration Research at the same time. She has been a researcher in different research projects which were focusing on populism, othering and the Turkish youth, volunteerism, migration, Syrian refugees and social entrepreneurship. She has also participated to summer schools on populism and political psychologyby Central European University and Reset-Doc and Ca'Foscari University. Her current research interests include comparative politics, populism, political psychology, identity, migration, Turkish politics, nationalism and conflict studies Erçetin has contributed to various international and national workshops, conferences, seminars, and congresses as speaker and organizator.
